1.概要(Summary )
Binding of a synthesized peptide to serum albumin (Fig1.) was intended to be measured.

2.実験(Experimental)
MicroCal VP-ITC, 等温滴定型カロリメトリー(ITC)
Titration of fatty acid into HSA solution.

3.結果と考察(Results and Discussion)
At first titration of 0.01 mM HSA with 0.1 mM of Myristic acid was run. The produced differential power (DP) between the reference and sample cell was interpreted to be very low (Fig.2), so for the next run concentrations were increased. As of titration of 0.05 mM HSA with 1 mM Myristic acid again the produced DP could not be explained (Fig 3.). For clarification of the generated heat by addition of only methanol (Myristic acid solvent) into the HSA solution, titration of 0.05 mM HSA solution with methanol alone was conducted. Result showed almost zero DP (Fig.4). To sum up, so far we could not get meaningful data, so we have to optimize our protocol of using ITC for studying interaction of the small hydrophobic molecules with HSA.
