1. Summary

I received technical support for using NMR machine by attending complete training for using NMR and dealing with the software of the machine.
Also, I received complete training for using the
FTIR spectrophotometer for measuring solid and liquid samples and how to prepare disk from solid sample using KBR.
In addition, attending the training for using the Raman microscope and how to adjust the sample using the microscope with some instructions for using the software of the machine.

2. Experimental

I used NMR for measuring biodiesel samples using chloroform as asolvent
I used FT-IR machine for measuring the functional group in some metal oxides and some biodiesel liqiud samples.
I used Raman microscope for characterization of graphene carbon materials

3. Results and Discussion

I used NMR machine for following the esterification reaction between methyl alcohol and some fatty acid to produce the methyl ester which consider as biodiesel. Percent of conversion of fatty acid to biodiesel with different ratio according to the reaction condition can be calculated from the integration of the main peaks at 2.3 and 3.6 ppm using the following equation:
Yield (%) of methyl oleate= 100 × (2AME/3ACH2) where
C =percentage conversion of triglycerides to corresponding methyl esters
AMe = integration value of the methoxy protons of the methyl esters
ACH2 = integration value of α-methylene protons
This application is considered as a green energy application for producing a fuel from oils and fatty acids

Special thanks for Jie LI San (Platform staff) for her helping and technical assisting effort in training on NMR, FT-IR, Raman spectroscopy machines with explaining the software and her helping during working on these machines if there is something wrong happened.
Special thanks for Taro Takemura san for his fast response to me in NMR software using to calculate the integration of NMR peaks.
